Okay guys , time for some group therapy ! First let me say it is absolutely staggering
that all of you are experiencing significant Pluto transits all at the same time
. Pluto transits all at the same time . This is how it breaks down just to give
you all some reference about each others chart . First, Denise has Pluto stationing
exactly by opposition to her Sun and Mercury . Linda, has Pluto stationing on her
Moon (1 degree) and square her Sun . Rita has Pluto stationing by square (1 degree)
to her Moon and in the fourth . Maria has Pluto stationing on her Sun by (2 degrees)
in the tenth house. Debe has had Pluto transiting her I.C. for some time , and Pluto
squaring her Mars in the seventh house . Pat probably has been dealing with this
Pluto transits longer than the rest of us, by virtue of the fact she has planets
82 planets in Gemini ! The kicker here is she happens to have planets in early,
middle and late degrees of Gemini . Are you with me so far ?
First keep in mind that regardless of the aspect Pluto makes the themes are the
same albeit subtle differences. Even the trines and sextiles from Pluto can be just
a challenging, but the potential for resolution may come sooner ? The two area's
that Pluto usually manifests are with health ( your own or others) and with
relationships . Again, we are reminded that in mythology Pluto only came to the
upper world twice. One was to have a wound healed , and the other was the abduction
of Persephone . The others issues associated with Pluto are issues around power
and control . We can either feel truly empowered during a Pluto transit,or we may
feel just the opposite and feel disempowered ? Again, I love the quote that "we
cannot avoid using power, so let love more powerfully ."
The expression of Pluto cycle are through three phases . 1) First, generally the
disruption of outer /external world on some level . This usually catalyzes the descent
to the underworld, the internal world. 2) This is the phase of the "Darkness"
the not knowing . Sometimes the road is dark and sometimes the darkness is your
friend . 3) Is the surge for rebirth and renewal that occurs as the soul rededicates
itself to it's remembered mission or intent . Also, the more we cooperate with the
process, the faster we move through the experience .
The real message of Pluto as you already know, in the nutshell is always about the
process of letting go, of releasing, and during any Pluto cycle your gonna be asked
to give something up ? This "giving something up" will be either through
choice or coercion . The very things you a clinging to (old attachments) is what's
inhibiting your life . You may think you need it, but in fact, letting it go will
give you more life . There are certain habits, relationships or material objects
you've come to believe your security is dependent upon, that you've held on without
question ? In order to rededicate your remembrance of the soul's intent, you must
let go of the "coziness" of the known . The Zen Koan says "
What is your face before you were born " ? We know that the most common form
of despair is not being who we are !
With any intense Pluto aspect we do have a tendency to perhaps at times, over identify
with one planet and disown the other. Clearly, the projection principle comes in
to play regardless of the aspect even though the opposition is though to be the
classic principle . So we need to ask ourselves, how did I contribute to the current
situation I find myself in ? What was the role I played to set up these dynamics
? The bottom line is, we can't work (resolve) something, unless you own it ! You
can't transform anything your denying . We know the more dependent you are on another
person, the more you resent them . Closeness, dependency and anger are linked together
. Until we learn to own our rage, anger, and be able to identify it's true orgins,
we will still conveniently assign blame on others along with misplaced anger . This
evolves into the classic "blame game" Oh, it's my partner that's
holding me back , it's my job holding me back, it's the governments fault etc .
What's really holding you back is your attachment to the past, your attachment to
the pain . This also validates the obsessive, compulsive behavior patterns often
inherent in these kinds of aspect and cycles .
What most astrologers forgot to tell you was that a Pluto transit feel's like a
bone marrow transplant without the anesthesia ! They didn't tell you that you are
probably going to find yourself obsessed with people or events from the past you
hoped you'd never have to think of again . Yet, the dichotomy is that dredging up
the past, the wounds, old hurts are a neccesary for emotional catharsis and are
actually vital for the healing process . Because at some point during this process
you finally "do the same thing" that you finally become aware that it
cannot go on any longer. and out of the pain which follows, you begin to do something
to change it . During this process we are heading towards health and healing, but
it's not quite visable just yet. We're still in the "Darkness" phase .
It's like having an operation, we are cutting out some diseased part of the body
that has been afflicting our health. Right after the operation it hurts like hell,
but the body is beginning to heal .
Buried Treasures
In mythology Pluto is the god of wealth and buried treasures . He is often depicted
holding a cornicupia full of precious gem and stone from under the deep earth .
A journey into what is buried in us will unearth hidden riches, some of which we
might not have known was there. If we fully acknowledged our potential talents and
skills, we would have to shoulder the burden of doing something to develop them
futher . We would rather avoid knowing than face the task of taking responsibility
for what is there . Another reason for denying our full potentiality might be the
fear of the power it would give us. We wouldn't be able to be'little' any more .
In the words of song writer Richard Thompson "sometimes on the darkness avenue,
you find the brightest jewel". One technique I find useful for those in a Pluto
cycle is to make a list of what you fear is the worst that could happen, what your
deepest fears are, what is your shadow side, what has been unrecognized within you
. By participating in this process provides the possibility that these fears may
not have to be literalized, because you have called the "spirits" out
. Some of the best therapies that work during a Pluto initation are : emotional
release work, psychological counseling, holotropic breathwork,Riechian work, in
other words thing that allow you to release and get your feelings out. Jung said:
Just because we live in a culture that has demythologized itself, doesn't mean the
Gods and Goddesses don't still exsits.
He also said: Which do you want, transformation or security ? Real courage mans
the power to let go of the familiar and secure.
Internal Security
The importance of learning to attend to our interal security issues is absolutely
vital in promoting emotional healing . You need to learn how to minimize your dependency
upon external phenomenon. Be it your Job, your husband, your lover, your house etc.
The point being that at some time in our lives, some of these things are going to
be taken or ripped away from us. If we've been overly attached or identified to
these external safety nets it's going to leave us in a state of emotional annihilation
. Conversely, if we at least learn to minimize our dependency upon external phenomenon,
and even though we have lossed something that's very dear to our hearts, nonetheless,
we will still come out of the process relatively emotionally entact. One final Pluto
resolution I want to share is, Say a prayer or set a sacred intention. Express gratitude
and perform at least one life affirming act daily . In closing, Someone once asked
the late 19th century mystic Gurdjeiff about enlightenment. His reply was, the only
thing you need to know is your going to die . All wisdom will follow thereafter.
You take about Plutoian, eh ? (lol) Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to
it ! As always love to hear your feedback assuming any of this make sense ?
Many Blessings ~

of your most painful experience, perhaps more than anywhere else- you will find
the seeds of your awakening".
