This Solar Eclipse is energized by several important signatures. First keep in mind that a few days before this eclipse, two planets make their station direct and energize their expression.  On September 7, 2007 Pluto makes it's station and moves forward for the first time since March 31st. This mytic god of the underworld,birth, death and renewal makes a wide square to this eclipse. You may be surprised to learn that the first World Trade Center bombing on February 26, 1993 occurred during a Pluto station ! The Oklahoma City bombing also occurred during a Pluto station . This eclipse happens to fall on Neptune in the USA chart . Neptune is associated with religion, faith,sacrifice and martyrdom. To add even more punch to this dynamic is this eclipse squares Mars (god of war) in the USA Chart and at a Mars return cycle !  This is clearly an archetypal expression of a holy war or crusade. In no way am I making any predictions, only symbolic observation ? Neptune is also about prayer, faith, divine intervention

and acceptance. Let us all send our healing prayers, thoughts and affirmations during these precarious times.

 

On September 8th, Venus completes it's retrograde cycle and moves direct (forward) at 17 degrees of Leo . Notice the volatility in the stock market happening during a Venus (money,banking) retrograde cycle ? This is the time to redefine, reaches and resolve unfinished business in our relationship. Venus in Leo always suggest to follow your heart . What the heart knows today the head will understand tomorrow ! When Venus moves into Virgo again the message is loud and clear, love (Venus) your body (Virgo). Excellent time to improve our dietary and nutritional eating habits. Start a new exercise or physical activity program. Virgo demands we have to work at achieving the results we want. Venus hits it's shadow point on October 11th at 3 degrees of Virgo. The Sabian Symbol for 3 degrees of Virgo reads: Two Guardian Angels, Keynote: Invisible help and protection in time of need . Hallelujah !

 

On September 2 ,2007 Saturn makes it's ingress into the sign Virgo . The last time Saturn was from late 1977 until 1980 . The year 1977 is very significant because not only is Virgo a sign related to health and healing, but Chiron (wounded healer) was discovered as well. This was the beginning of the holistic and alternative health movement. Since Saturn rules governments and Virgo health hopefully universal health care will become a reality ! We are the only industrialized nation without somekind of universal health care. What a disgrace ! The World Health Organization has the United States ranked 37th in health care. The HMO's are responsible for the decline and quality of life here in the good old USA ? Virgo is also associated with the harvest, food, grains and wheat. President Carter restricting grains,wheat sales to the USSR in protest of the Soviet invasion coincided with Saturn in Virgo.

It's interesting that as Saturn is just about to go into Virgo, the Minneapolis bridge collapse, a ruptured pipe in Manhattan, broken Levees in New Orleans is clearly a powerful metaphor that our foundations and infrastructures

are collapsing . Saturn is afterall the skeletal system. The good news is that Virgo is the first-aid kit of the Zodiac and help is on the way ? Virgo is a fix-it , repair it, improve it sign . Virgo is about efficient functioning, organization and discipline , and most importantly it about Service. What is your form of Service ? All of the world's spiritual traditions have stressed the value of compassionate service to alleviate suffering and grow spiritually. Not only does service relieve suffering of others, it also transforms self-centeredness. We must remember that it is a privilege to help others...It is not the receiver that is blessed, but the giver. The fact is when you give of yourself, you receive far more in return.

 

 One last thing to throw out there is the chart for New York City had 18 degrees of Virgo rising, the same degree as the Solar Eclipse . Uranus in Pisces is in opposition to this eclipse point ( sudden, unexpected changes ) perhaps in the financial sectors ? The degree for this eclipse reads from Zodiacal Symbology by Isidore Kozminsky : A man supporting a little girl,swimming towards the shore in a rough sea. It is a symbol of serving.
